Spectators: 6752 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 0) Gerard Pennington made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Massey's Johnny Sinclair got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Gerard Pennington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Massey booed when Esterel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Jordan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Sinclair took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ross Royer. Esterel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 11th minute Wade Franks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross Royer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julien Clavet in the 16th minute of play forced Esterel's goalkeeper Ross Royer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Massey. Johnny Sinclair stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ross Royer. 1-1. With a little luck, Esterel's Ross Royer got control of the ball when Jamison Savoie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jamison Savoie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ross Royer made a huge save.

In the 52nd minute, Julien Clavet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jamison Savoie came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Massey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamison Savoie couldn't finish the play. Enoch Buckner kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Marius Berthelette stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerard Pennington's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. A collision led to Massey getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jared Hinojosa hit a great ball. Esterel made a substitution. Miles Steward replaced Paschal Bérubé. After 82 played minutes Esterel got a freekick which was hit by Son Coffey. Esterel's Ross Royer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wade Franks in the 90th minute of play. Nicholas Brannon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Pennington received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marius Berthelette came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerard Pennington slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 93rd minute. The Esterel players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
