Spectators: 6738 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dudley Cook started the match with the kick off. William Jordan's late challenge caught a Meyersburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 8th minute, Gerard Pennington left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esterel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Gerard Pennington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esterel's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Pennington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelino Harrison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Meyersburg's Marcelino Harrison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Pennington in the 23rd minute of play. After 27 played minutes Esterel got a freekick which was hit by Enoch Buckner. Gilbert Barnard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Ross Royer made a huge save. In the 30th minute, Gilbert Barnard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Esterel's Enoch Buckner got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Meyersburg getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Gilbert Barnard hit a great ball. Evan Lanier kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Ross Royer made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Gilbert Barnard sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerard Pennington stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evan Lanier kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Marcelino Harrison made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Gerard Pennington sent off a good shot on target. Gerard Pennington did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Marcelino Harrison 57 minutes into the match. Gerard Pennington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Meyersburg's Marcelino Harrison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Meyersburg from getting a goal against them. Loup Thorne hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Rusty Slater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Harrison having to interfere. Esterel's Miles Steward was substituted for Paschal Bérubé. A collision led to Esterel getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Enoch Buckner hit a great ball. Enoch Buckner kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Gilbert Barnard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Chavis hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Rusty Slater took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelino Harrison. Meyersburg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gil Chavis hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Nicholas Brannon came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Esterel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicholas Brannon couldn't finish the play. The Esterel supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Esterel would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
