Spectators: 6750 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 0) Long Erickson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Thornhill AFC's Julien Clay got a free kick in the 6th minute. If Blaine Faucher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blaine Faucher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucius Montano having to interfere. Derick Desruisseaux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Long Erickson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Blaine Faucher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Troy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blaine Faucher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Mohammed Shipp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Duran in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucius Montano saved Thornhill AFC from getting behind. Julien Clay kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Cooper got free with Derick Desruisseaux in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st match minute, Troy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lou Helton to maneuver through the defense. If Andres Cooper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Andres Cooper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Andres Cooper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Derick Desruisseaux was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th match minute, Troy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derek Dozier to maneuver through the defense. Derick Desruisseaux made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Andres Cooper sent off a good shot on target. Thornhill AFC's Lucius Montano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaine Faucher in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcel Duran made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Marcel Duran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucius Montano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derick Desruisseaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Long Erickson in the 57th minute of the match. Lucius Montano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Duran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes Thornhill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ken Blackwell. Derek Dozier's late challenge caught a Thornhill AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Derek Dozier helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Troy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derek Dozier to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Ken Blackwell sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Troy FC's Derick Desruisseaux didn't even have to move. 85 minutes into the match, Long Erickson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Troy FC's Derick Desruisseaux. Derick Desruisseaux was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 89 minutes, Mohammed Shipp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thornhill AFC and the Troy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Thornhill AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Mohammed Shipp hit a great ball. Thornhill AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
