Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hipolito Jean in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antone Bourget prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Whitbourne FC booed when Foxtrap was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lacy Therriault didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antone Bourget showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Jean, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, Whitbourne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lyle Robillard to maneuver through the defense. When Whitbourne FC's Hipolito Jean in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roland Powell got free with Antone Bourget in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Roland Powell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whitbourne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Powell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antone Bourget breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fiacre Burt struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Leslie Dennis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foxtrap. The Foxtrap fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antone Bourget should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Foxtrap's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Powell came free, but Antone Bourget reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Lawerence Perkins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leslie Dennis. Whitbourne FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lawerence Perkins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Foxtrap's Antone Bourget played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Powell in the 88th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Whitbourne FC had won after a very even match.
