Milo AFC's Clark Crump played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dong Parmentier in the 17th minute of play. Olin Sizemore charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olin Sizemore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Milo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Olin Sizemore. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Mark Baird managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beverly's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Baird was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clark Crump breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dong Parmentier came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Beverly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dong Parmentier couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Beverly getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Luc Cartier hit a great ball. Olin Sizemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Milo AFC's Jody Noël couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Beverly. Dong Parmentier kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Olin Sizemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Beverly's zone, Olin Sizemore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Art Rushing came out of the goal and Olin Sizemore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Del Lentz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Olin Sizemore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Art Rushing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luc Cartier during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olin Sizemore in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Art Rushing saved Beverly from getting behind. Art Rushing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olin Sizemore, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Calvin Watkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Art Rushing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olin Sizemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olin Sizemore struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Art Rushing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milo AFC. The Milo AFC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Milo AFC's Olin Sizemore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 92nd minute, Mark Baird got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Dong Parmentier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Clark Crump, 4-1.
