An unexpectedly hard shot by Diodore Bryson in the 8th minute of play forced Lillestrom FC's goalkeeper Clyde Kirkland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diodore Bryson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Ilford's Winfred Rock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clyde Kirkland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diodore Bryson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clyde Kirkland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Clyde Kirkland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winfred Rock in the 22nd minute of play. When Dorsey Savage fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lillestrom FC's protests and gave Dorsey Savage a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Lillestrom FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorsey Savage to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Dorsey Savage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute of the match Nicolas Santos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clyde Kirkland skillfully saved the ball. Lillestrom FC's Norman Hall got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ilford getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ermenegilde Valenzuela hit a great ball. Jonathon Faure took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norman Hall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Shepherd kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Clyde Kirkland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Winfred Rock in the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Ilford's Jonathon Faure got control of the ball when Francisco Nash tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norman Hall was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Ilford's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Nash came free, but Jonathon Faure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match, Winfred Rock tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Clyde Kirkland saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 72 minutes into the match, Ilford's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Nash came free, but Jonathon Faure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lillestrom FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Winfred Rock scored to the left of an out of position Clyde Kirkland, making the score, 0-2. Lillestrom FC's Clyde Kirkland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Lillestrom FC from getting a goal against them. Jonathon Faure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norman Hall in the 84th minute of the match. Norman Hall might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathon Faure. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norman Hall ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathon Faure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Nash in the 90th minute of the match. Lillestrom FC's Clyde Kirkland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Winfred Rock in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, one of Lillestrom FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lillestrom FC:s Clyde Kirkland showed great skill when he stopped Nicolas Santos:s penalty. Francisco Nash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilford's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
