The Foxtrap fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antone Bourget should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Théodore Schulz in the 20th minute of play forced Foxtrap's goalkeeper Antone Bourget to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emmett Snider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernie Dowdy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Hobert Bernstein made a huge save. In the 43rd minute Emmett Snider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hobert Bernstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emmett Snider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hobert Bernstein having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Théodore Schulz to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Dante Farmer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antone Bourget was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Théodore Schulz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dane's supporters rose to their feet, but Théodore Schulz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antone Bourget breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hobert Bernstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmett Snider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Foxtrap's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Théodore Schulz scored to the left of an out of position Antone Bourget, making the score, 0-3. Dante Farmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Antone Bourget made a huge save.
