Hipolito Jean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chignecto FC's Elisha Norris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Jean in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Whitbourne FC booed when Chignecto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Allain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elisha Norris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Powell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hipolito Jean's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elisha Norris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Roland Powell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roland Powell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Elisha Norris when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leslie Dennis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlin Rouse in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Ronnie Reid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Whitbourne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marlin Rouse came free, but Leslie Dennis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Dostie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Whitbourne FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chignecto FC.
