Stuart Gour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clark Crump read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Clark Crump made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Nash in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that Olin Sizemore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clyde Kirkland was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The Lillestrom FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clyde Kirkland should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norman Hall to strike the kick off in the second half. When Calvin Watkins came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Milo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calvin Watkins couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Milo AFC's Abram Clifford ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clyde Kirkland. Clyde Kirkland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Olin Sizemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a defensive mix-up in Lillestrom FC's zone, Olin Sizemore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clyde Kirkland came out of the goal and Olin Sizemore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Olin Sizemore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clyde Kirkland was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the game, Francisco Nash cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Clark Crump was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olin Sizemore in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clyde Kirkland saved Lillestrom FC from getting behind. Clyde Kirkland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olin Sizemore in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olin Sizemore in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clyde Kirkland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 87 minutes, Del Lentz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Milo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Del Lentz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Dan Barrow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clyde Kirkland was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Milo AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lillestrom FC.
