In the 20th minute of the match Carter Thorpe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elisha Norris skillfully saved the ball. Elisha Norris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Henry in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute Sal Mejia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elisha Norris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sal Mejia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th match minute, Chignecto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marlin Rouse to maneuver through the defense. Sal Mejia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elisha Norris having to interfere. Mickey Léveillé made an important save on a dangerous shot by Irvin Penn in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Bassano's Mickey Léveillé got control of the ball when Irvin Penn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eloi Schaefer's late challenge caught a Chignecto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
