Jonathon Faure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erich Whitehead in the 11th minute of the match. Charlemagne's Paris Haas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Charlemagne from getting a goal against them. Erich Whitehead sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erich Whitehead stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lesley Oneal charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lesley Oneal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erich Whitehead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jonathon Faure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathon Faure was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ilford's Jake Ragland pulled a muscle in his leg after 73 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 74 minutes into the game, Carlton Bonsaint was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Charlemagne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilford the free kick. Carlton Bonsaint hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 78 minutes, Sidney Holder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ilford and the Charlemagne players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ilford fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Jonathon Faure had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Urbain Gaudreau's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jonathon Faure made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Theron Richer sent off a good shot on target. Ermenegilde Valenzuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Diodore Bryson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erich Whitehead blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathon Faure having to make a save. Charlemagne's Theron Richer got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 98th minute, Erich Whitehead left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Charlemagne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Charlemagne had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
