Leonardo Tate charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dane's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tommy Pritchett charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Pritchett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tommy Pritchett kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Dante Farmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dane booed when Iona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isiah Ohara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcellin Gallegos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hobert Bernstein having to make a save. Hobert Bernstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcellin Gallegos in the 41st minute. If Tanner Glass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Dane got a freekick which was hit by Chas Bilodeau. Tanner Glass sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chas Bilodeau during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Iona booed when Dane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chas Bilodeau didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dante Farmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tyrell Redding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Elbert Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dane's supporters rose to their feet, but Elbert Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrell Redding breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tyrell Redding made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Dante Farmer sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Iona defense, Théodore Schulz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tyrell Redding. The Iona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tyrell Redding should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Iona booed when Dane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Théodore Schulz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iona were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Dane's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hunter Stiles took the corner. After 78 played minutes Dane got a freekick which was hit by Elbert Koehler. 84 minutes into the match, Marcellin Gallegos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hobert Bernstein. Dane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcellin Gallegos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 89th minute, Théodore Schulz made a precise shot to the right of Tyrell Redding. Iona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 94 minutes into the game, Dane's Dante Farmer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tyrell Redding made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Dane's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
