Paris Haas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Jean, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Roland Powell struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Paris Haas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitbourne FC. In the 42nd minute Hipolito Jean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paris Haas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Hipolito Jean made the kick off in the second half. If Granville Drew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Whitbourne FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Charlemagne booed when Whitbourne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lyle Robillard didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Theron Richer came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Charlemagne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theron Richer couldn't finish the play. Hipolito Jean kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Charlemagne's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
