Irvin Penn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Hubbard hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Beverly defense, Irvin Penn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Art Rushing. The Beverly fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Art Rushing should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute, Ezra Klein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elisha Norris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Baird in the 16th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Mark Baird got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dong Parmentier in the 28th minute of play forced Chignecto FC's goalkeeper Elisha Norris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Art Rushing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marlin Rouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Omar Dostie kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Branden Gougeon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elisha Norris. Chignecto FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Mark Baird had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irvin Penn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Chignecto FC's Marlin Rouse dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Chignecto FC's Elisha Norris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dong Parmentier in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Omar Dostie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dong Parmentier was the one to do the kick off. Beverly were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Chignecto FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Branden Gougeon took the corner. Art Rushing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marlin Rouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 60 played minutes Beverly got a freekick which was hit by Ali Hubbard. Titus Livingston hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the game, Irvin Penn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Art Rushing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 74 minutes into the match, Mark Baird had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elisha Norris. Chignecto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mark Baird was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Beverly's Dong Parmentier got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marlin Rouse took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Art Rushing. Art Rushing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. If Irvin Penn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Beverly players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chignecto FC.
