After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Theron Richer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charlemagne's supporters rose to their feet, but Theron Richer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mickey Léveillé breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theron Richer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Mickey Léveillé tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Wilber Goodson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bassano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charlemagne the free kick. A collision led to Bassano getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Wilber Goodson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Charlemagne's Erich Whitehead got a free kick in the 14th minute. Erich Whitehead fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Léveillé having to interfere. Theron Richer scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mickey Léveillé, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paris Haas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Henry in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sal Mejia in the 28th minute of play forced Charlemagne's goalkeeper Paris Haas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theron Richer in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mickey Léveillé saved Bassano from getting behind. If Victor Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Henry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Paris Haas made a huge save. Mickey Léveillé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erich Whitehead in the 43rd minute of play. Mickey Léveillé took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theron Richer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Erich Whitehead hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Charlemagne getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Carlton Bonsaint hit a great ball. Victor Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Charlemagne were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Erich Whitehead made the kick off in the second half. When Barney Collins fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bassano's protests and gave Barney Collins a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bassano getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Barney Collins hit a great ball. In the 60th match minute, Bassano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Iverson to maneuver through the defense. After 61 played minutes Bassano got a freekick which was hit by Victor Henry. Paris Haas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Paris Haas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Henry in the 73rd minute of play forced Charlemagne's goalkeeper Paris Haas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paris Haas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sal Mejia, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Granville Drew's late challenge caught a Bassano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Granville Drew helped the player get up and apologised. Sal Mejia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sal Mejia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lacy Flaherty charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lacy Flaherty the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Lacy Flaherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match Bassano got a corner. Charlemagne's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carter Thorpe ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Bassano's Carter Thorpe to fire away a dangerous shot which Paris Haas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bassano's zone, Erich Whitehead stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mickey Léveillé came out of the goal and Erich Whitehead tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erich Whitehead in the 96th minute of play forced Bassano's goalkeeper Mickey Léveillé to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Victor Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Charlemagne players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
