Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bassano's Mickey Léveillé played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Nash in the 3rd minute of play. Lillestrom FC's Dorsey Savage got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 7 played minutes Bassano got a freekick which was hit by Barney Collins. Victor Henry struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Clyde Kirkland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bassano. Clyde Kirkland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sal Mejia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Henry succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 19th playminute. Mickey Léveillé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Nash in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Bassano getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Barney Collins hit a great ball. If Francisco Nash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norman Hall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Léveillé having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Bart Iverson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Nash might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mickey Léveillé. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Nash ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Lillestrom FC booed when Bassano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barney Collins didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norman Hall was the one to do the kick off. If Victor Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 65 minutes, Sal Mejia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bassano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sal Mejia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lillestrom FC's Clyde Kirkland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Henry in the 69th minute of play. Francisco Nash received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Mickey Léveillé tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sal Mejia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clyde Kirkland having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play Bassano's Bart Iverson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 87th match minute, Bassano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Iverson to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Victor Henry notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Lillestrom FC's Clyde Kirkland. Clyde Kirkland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lillestrom FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bassano.
