Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Dong Parmentier started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Marcellin Gallegos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iona's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcellin Gallegos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Art Rushing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beverly's Art Rushing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Beverly from getting a goal against them. Dong Parmentier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 17 minutes, Mark Baird managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beverly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Baird was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tyrell Redding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dong Parmentier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Iona booed when Beverly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Hubbard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tanner Glass received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Art Rushing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dong Parmentier in the 27th minute of play forced Iona's goalkeeper Tyrell Redding to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dong Parmentier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Beverly were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tanner Glass made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Isiah Ohara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beverly the free kick. Isiah Ohara hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Iona! 58 minutes into the game, Luc Cartier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beverly's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iona the free kick. After 59 played minutes Beverly got a freekick which was hit by Luc Cartier. When Dong Parmentier in the 62nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Tyrell Redding kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Mark Baird sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mark Baird had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Iona's goalkeeper Tyrell Redding had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mark Baird. After 83 minutes of play, Iona's Tanner Glass made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Art Rushing was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tanner Glass in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Art Rushing saved Beverly from getting behind. Luc Cartier hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Mark Baird took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tyrell Redding. Tyrell Redding dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4.
