Spectators: 6713 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Raymundo Baird kicked off to start the match. Columbus McClure's late challenge caught a Anson FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Columbus McClure helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Anson FC booed when Southey AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Columbus McClure didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Raymundo Baird managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anson FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymundo Baird was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascal Barrière breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Southey AFC's Wayne Hough got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th match minute, Anson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quinn Osborne to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 11 minutes, Felicien Rowell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southey AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felicien Rowell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Raymundo Baird ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pascal Barrière was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Raymundo Baird fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascal Barrière having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Dwight Chabot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southey AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dwight Chabot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robby Fairchild showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwight Chabot, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Dwight Chabot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robby Fairchild was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

After a defensive mix-up in Anson FC's zone, Wayne Hough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robby Fairchild came out of the goal and Wayne Hough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Raymundo Baird made a precise shot to the right of Pascal Barrière. Southey AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 60 played minutes Southey AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Snell. Pascal Barrière made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymundo Baird in the 61st minute of play. Dwight Chabot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Robby Fairchild tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Vincent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascal Barrière having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Southey AFC got a freekick which was hit by Columbus McClure. In the 83rd play minute Dwight Chabot came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Robby Fairchild. 2-2. In the 87th minute, Kurt Vincent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pascal Barrière was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After a rather tough play, Southey AFC's Christian Ellis got a free kick in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Anson FC defense, Wayne Hough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robby Fairchild. The Anson FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robby Fairchild should have stopped the shot.
