The audience was convinced that Moises Patenaude's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chauncey Borden was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. When Millard Campos came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Alpha Pegasus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Millard Campos couldn't finish the play. In the 9thth minute of the game Moises Patenaude who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vanguard's Chauncey Borden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Del Guillory struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Fernando Bass didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vanguard. In the 17th match minute, Alpha Pegasus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Jorrin to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Darnell Delarosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Bass saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Vanguard's goalkeeper Chauncey Borden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Millard Campos. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Moises Patenaude managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alpha Pegasus's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Patenaude was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chauncey Borden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moises Patenaude recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Bass showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Cyr, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Chauncey Borden had great luck who in the 38thth minute grab hold of the ball when Moises Patenaude from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Alpha Pegasus booed when Vanguard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerold Lloyd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Jorrin charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Jorrin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Kerry Charlesbois hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moises Patenaude to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Alpha Pegasus got a freekick which was hit by Neal Booth. Alpha Pegasus's Fernando Bass played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Del Guillory in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vanguard's zone, Millard Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chauncey Borden came out of the goal and Millard Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Christian Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Vanguard:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alpha Pegasus:s goal. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Alpha Pegasus. Millard Campos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Chauncey Borden. 3-1. A hard shot 69 in the game by Valentin Cyr from a close distance when the talented Fernando Bass managed to make a qualified save. Alpha Pegasus's players were relieved. Chauncey Borden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Patenaude in the 83rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Del Guillory took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Fernando Bass to make any attempt to save it. Neal Booth lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Despite being the better team, Alpha Pegasus failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
