In the 19th minute, Byron Ritter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudy Wolff during the 25th minute. Séverin Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Williams Deaton in the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Edgar FC's zone, Grover Lay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Séverin Romero came out of the goal and Grover Lay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th match minute, Edgar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Hodge to maneuver through the defense. Williams Deaton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séverin Romero having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Williams Deaton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Como's supporters rose to their feet, but Williams Deaton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Séverin Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Edgar FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Marcelino Begay hit a great ball. Edgar FC's Séverin Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Williams Deaton in the 81st minute of play. Justin Coley didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 89th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Edgar FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
