Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Argenta's Steven Sousa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christopher Payton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Byron Ritter in the 3rd minute of play. When Giuseppe Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argenta's protests and gave Giuseppe Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Edgar FC booed when Argenta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Byron Hodge succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 5th playminute. In the 14th minute, Steven Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th match minute, Edgar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Hodge to maneuver through the defense. Christopher Payton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Byron Ritter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play, Argenta's Toussaint Duarte made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Séverin Romero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Steven Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Séverin Romero. Edgar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steven Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Harris Doiron kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Byron Ritter in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher Payton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, Steven Sousa notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Edgar FC's Séverin Romero. Séverin Romero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Byron Hodge fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edgar FC's protests and gave Byron Hodge a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Edgar FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Byron Hodge hit a great ball. Séverin Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Byron Ritter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Byron Hodge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

In the 54th minute Steven Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Séverin Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toussaint Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séverin Romero having to interfere. Edgar FC's Séverin Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Sousa in the 58th minute of play. Byron Hodge struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Christopher Payton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edgar FC. In the 65th minute, Toussaint Duarte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Séverin Romero was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. If Steven Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toussaint Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Byron Ritter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steven Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argenta's goalkeeper Christopher Payton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Byron Ritter notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Argenta's Christopher Payton. Christopher Payton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
