Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Del Guillory got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Southey AFC's Christian Ellis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chauncey Borden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chauncey Borden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wayne Hough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Southey AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Del Guillory came free, but Pascal Barrière reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Cyr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Pascal Barrière made a huge save. Pascal Barrière made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Cyr in the 16th minute. If Dwight Chabot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Southey AFC's zone, Del Guillory stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascal Barrière came out of the goal and Del Guillory tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vanguard's Valentin Cyr got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pascal Barrière made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Valentin Cyr sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the match, Vanguard's goal looked a bit too open when Wayne Hough came free, but Chauncey Borden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wayne Hough in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chauncey Borden saved Vanguard from getting behind. Pascal Barrière made an important save on a dangerous shot by Del Guillory in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Vanguard defense, Wayne Hough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chauncey Borden. The Vanguard fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chauncey Borden should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the game, Southey AFC's Dwight Chabot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chauncey Borden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Southey AFC's Pascal Barrière played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Del Guillory in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Chauncey Borden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wayne Hough in the 53rd minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Vanguard's goalkeeper Chauncey Borden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dwight Chabot. Dwight Chabot let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 61st minute shot 1-3 at rihgt post. 65 minutes into the match, Southey AFC's Wayne Hough sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chauncey Borden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valentin Cyr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pascal Barrière tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Del Guillory made a precise shot to the right of Pascal Barrière. Southey AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Southey AFC's Wayne Hough got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the game, Southey AFC's Dwight Chabot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chauncey Borden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. With an all-out effort, Southey AFC's Chauncey Borden threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wayne Hough, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wayne Hough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Southey AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
