Jerrell Beard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Fabian Major got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabian Major fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascal Barrière having to interfere. The supporters of MacRae booed when Southey AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felicien Rowell didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Southey AFC's Jerrell Beard threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wayne Hough, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jerrell Beard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wayne Hough in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Andrea Rankin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascal Barrière saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wayne Hough was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Major in the 45th minute of play forced Southey AFC's goalkeeper Pascal Barrière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 49 minutes of play, MacRae's Fabian Major made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pascal Barrière was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Andrea Rankin came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pascal Barrière could save by the left post. If Andrea Rankin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Major struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Pascal Barrière didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MacRae. In the 87th minute Fabian Major shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascal Barrière saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Andrea Rankin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Pascal Barrière was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Fabian Major fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pascal Barrière, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Southey AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jeff Wright hit a great ball. Christian Ellis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerrell Beard having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MacRae had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
