Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Williams Deaton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Como's zone, Wayne Hough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justin Coley came out of the goal and Wayne Hough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Como booed when Southey AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Ellis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Como's Williams Deaton in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Southey AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 18th minute Grover Lay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascal Barrière saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grover Lay in the 21st minute of play forced Southey AFC's goalkeeper Pascal Barrière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Como's goal looked a bit too open when Wayne Hough came free, but Justin Coley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Grover Lay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Southey AFC's zone, Williams Deaton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascal Barrière came out of the goal and Williams Deaton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dwight Chabot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Justin Coley managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Southey AFC's Dwight Chabot fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 38 played minutes Southey AFC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Ellis. 43 minutes into the game, Como's Williams Deaton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pascal Barrière made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wayne Hough was the one to do the kick off. Justin Coley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwight Chabot in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wayne Hough in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justin Coley saved Como from getting behind. If Dwight Chabot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Como's Justin Coley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dwight Chabot in the 60th minute of play. Grover Lay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Southey AFC's Christian Ellis got a free kick in the 65th minute. Williams Deaton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pascal Barrière read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Williams Deaton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Como's supporters crossed their fingers, but Williams Deaton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Grover Lay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stacey Létourneau hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stacey Létourneau during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Stacey Létourneau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Mercier, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Grover Lay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Pascal Barrière made a huge save. Justin Coley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Hough in the 93rd minute of play. Wayne Hough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Justin Coley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Como walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
