Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ron Read took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Tangent AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Rémy Perez hit a great ball. Harland Padgett hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Craig Echeverri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ron Read had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Craig Echeverri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Morris Dubois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Tangent AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Craig Echeverri came free, but Morris Dubois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Morris Dubois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Craig Echeverri, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Montreal BJK booed when Tangent AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ron Read didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Craig Echeverri in the 34th minute of play forced Tangent AFC's goalkeeper Morris Dubois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jerold Lemaître came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Montreal BJK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerold Lemaître couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Craig Echeverri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montreal BJK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Montreal BJK's Ramon Maddox got control of the ball when Gino Bolden tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Tangent AFC's Ramon Maddox threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ron Read, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Barton Dodge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Morris Dubois having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Craig Echeverri to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Jerold Lemaître managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montreal BJK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerold Lemaître was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Morris Dubois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Echeverri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Montreal BJK's Craig Echeverri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Morris Dubois. That made the score 1-2 after 59 minutes of play. Séverin Irving struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ramon Maddox didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tangent AFC. Ramon Maddox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Read, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Montreal BJK's Jerold Lemaître nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Morris Dubois made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Montreal BJK's Danial Willard got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ron Read recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Montreal BJK's Jerold Lemaître sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Morris Dubois narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ron Read sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tangent AFC's Séverin Irving got a free kick in the 89th minute. Craig Echeverri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Morris Dubois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. If Gino Bolden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ron Read blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramon Maddox having to make a save.
