Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Austin McGuire got the match started through his kick off. If Roland Lang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 played minutes Whaletown FC got a freekick which was hit by Von Braun. In the 12th minute, Santos Boles sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Whaletown FC's Rosario McCoy didn't even have to move. Kendrick Riley took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rosario McCoy. Rosario McCoy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A collision led to Tachie FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nazaire Gold hit a great ball. Darryl McCauley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Lang in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Nazaire Gold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Roland Lang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Whaletown FC's Austin McGuire got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kendrick Riley's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rosario McCoy firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rosario McCoy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kendrick Riley in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 53rd minute Whaletown FC were awarded a corner. Nathan Dye went to the cornerflag to take it. If Austin McGuire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Austin McGuire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darryl McCauley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carmelo Babb fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tachie FC's protests and gave Carmelo Babb a yellow card for diving instead. 72 minutes into the match, Tachie FC's goalkeeper Darryl McCauley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Lang. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Burt Lambert during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tachie FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Burt Lambert hit a great ball. Nazaire Gold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rosario McCoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. When Nazaire Gold came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Tachie FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nazaire Gold couldn't finish the play. In the 87th match minute, Whaletown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Von Braun to maneuver through the defense. In the 89thth minute of the game Austin McGuire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tachie FC's Darryl McCauley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Kendrick Riley came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Tachie FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kendrick Riley couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Whaletown FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tachie FC.
