Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Lane Compton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gino Bolden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Gerard Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ron Read recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Read in the 13th minute of play forced Kinnaird AFC's goalkeeper Gerard Thurman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Ron Read shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Thurman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Bolden in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Ron Read got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute Ron Read shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Thurman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ron Read to make the kick off. Jasper Tang kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Gino Bolden got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With his leg Gerard Thurman managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Tangent AFC's Gino Bolden fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ron Read sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herbert Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kinnaird AFC's Herbert Davenport got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Herbert Davenport managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kinnaird AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Davenport was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Morris Dubois breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lane Compton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Tangent AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winston Purvis to maneuver through the defense. Gino Bolden charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gino Bolden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kinnaird AFC booed when Tangent AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Bolden didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Tangent AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Davenport came free, but Morris Dubois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Gino Bolden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tangent AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino Bolden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerard Thurman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lane Compton struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Morris Dubois didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kinnaird AFC. 92 minutes into the match, Tangent AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lane Compton came free, but Morris Dubois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, one of Tangent AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tangent AFC. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tangent AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kinnaird AFC.
