After 6 played minutes Tangent AFC got a freekick which was hit by Winford Cotton. Ron Read fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Deserres having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Tangent AFC got a freekick which was hit by Séverin Irving. Roderick Cousteau might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Morris Dubois. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roderick Cousteau ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the game, Roderick Cousteau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Morris Dubois was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Tangent AFC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Tangent AFC's Gino Bolden looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roderick Cousteau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Rosetown FC's Morris Dubois threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Delmar Rock, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gino Bolden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Deserres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. If Gino Bolden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ron Read had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rdth minute of the game Delmar Rock who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tangent AFC's Morris Dubois was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Delmar Rock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Delmar Rock made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Rosetown FC's Harry Deserres got control of the ball when Gino Bolden tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gino Bolden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Bolden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ron Read recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Marcellus Meunier fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosetown FC's protests and gave Marcellus Meunier a yellow card for diving instead. Marcellus Meunier hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Roderick Cousteau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes Tangent AFC got a freekick which was hit by Séverin Irving. If Delmar Rock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute, Rosetown FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ron Read fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Morris Dubois stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmar Rock's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Despite being the better team, Tangent AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
