Spectators: 6740 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Homer Booth made the kick off which started today's match. Gerard Thurman came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Mildmay AFC's Homer Booth. But to his dismay, Homer Booth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lane Compton in the 10th minute of play forced Mildmay AFC's goalkeeper Léopold Benoit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Jasper Tang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Homer Booth in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerard Thurman saved Kinnaird AFC from getting behind. Herbert Davenport received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Mildmay AFC's Garry Epperson got a free kick in the 20th minute. Gerard Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Homer Booth in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Kristopher Forbes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kinnaird AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mildmay AFC the free kick. Homer Booth struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mildmay AFC's zone, Lane Compton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léopold Benoit came out of the goal and Lane Compton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, Mildmay AFC's Timothy Gaudreau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerard Thurman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lane Compton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Kinnaird AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasper Tang to maneuver through the defense. Homer Booth received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gerard Thurman came out and tried to block the shot, but Homer Booth slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 53rd minute. Homer Booth blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerard Thurman having to make a save. In the 58thth minute of the game Lane Compton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mildmay AFC's Léopold Benoit was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kristopher Forbes placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Timothy Gaudreau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerard Thurman having to interfere. Herbert Davenport recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herbert Davenport in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Léopold Benoit prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 71 minutes, Garry Epperson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mildmay AFC and the Kinnaird AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes Mildmay AFC got a freekick which was hit by Garry Epperson. The supporters of Kinnaird AFC booed when Mildmay AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiacre Worthington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristopher Forbes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Mildmay AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Davenport came free, but Léopold Benoit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timothy Gaudreau in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gerard Thurman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Mildmay AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mildmay AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
