The tension between the Kinnaird AFC and the Whaletown FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kinnaird AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Isaiah Baxter hit a great ball. After having played for 3 minutes, Roland Lang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whaletown FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Lang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roland Lang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerard Thurman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Gerard Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austin McGuire in the 15th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Jasper Tang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kinnaird AFC and the Whaletown FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jasper Tang hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute Herbert Davenport shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosario McCoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Lang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerard Thurman having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Isaiah Baxter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kinnaird AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Rosario McCoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Davenport in the 45th minute of the match. Austin McGuire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

After having played for 52 minutes, Austin McGuire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whaletown FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Austin McGuire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 55 played minutes, Whaletown FC's Cliff Riquet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerard Thurman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Whaletown FC reached it. A collision led to Kinnaird AFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Guillaume Stein hit a great ball. Nathan Dye, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 66th minute Herbert Davenport shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosario McCoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Lang in the 70th minute of play. Rosario McCoy was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Lane Compton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lane Compton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Kinnaird AFC's Gerard Thurman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin McGuire in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Austin McGuire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whaletown FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Austin McGuire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Kinnaird AFC's Herbert Davenport sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rosario McCoy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 97th minute of the game. One of Whaletown FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kinnaird AFC:s goal. Kinnaird AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
