Rosetown FC's Roderick Cousteau got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramon Maddox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roderick Cousteau in the 18th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Rosetown FC's Roderick Cousteau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramon Maddox made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Roderick Cousteau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Maddox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roderick Cousteau in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roderick Cousteau in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramon Maddox prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jerold Lemaître received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Harry Deserres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Rosetown FC got a freekick which was hit by César Holloway. Jerold Lemaître struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Harry Deserres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montreal BJK. If Roderick Cousteau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Delmar Rock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Maddox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Barton Dodge fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montreal BJK's protests and gave Barton Dodge a yellow card for diving instead. Ramon Maddox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmar Rock, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Harland Padgett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Montreal BJK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rosetown FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Craig Echeverri to make the kick off. Montreal BJK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elliot Blalock in the 83rd minute. 92 minutes in the game, Roderick Cousteau fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ramon Maddox having to interfere. Delmar Rock was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Rosetown FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rosetown FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
