If Jamey Smalls had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Clifton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathaniel Langford having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Clarkson FC's Marcus Pina got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 18th minute, Inwood's Jamey Smalls dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Marcus Pina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Arlie Gousse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Pina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlie Gousse having to interfere. Arlie Gousse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Parnell in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute Marcus Pina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlie Gousse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Chi Léveillé's late challenge caught a Clarkson FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chi Léveillé helped the player get up and apologised. Nathaniel Langford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamey Smalls in the 55th minute of play. Gonzalo Clifton took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nathaniel Langford. Nathaniel Langford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gonzalo Clifton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Jamey Smalls cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Nathaniel Langford was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gonzalo Clifton sped through Clarkson FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nathaniel Langford. Arlie Gousse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Pina's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Marcus Pina hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Marcus Pina came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Clarkson FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Pina couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Clarkson FC's zone, Gonzalo Clifton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nathaniel Langford came out of the goal and Gonzalo Clifton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Jamey Smalls left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inwood fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Chi Léveillé received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Nathaniel Langford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
