Douglass Best recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Frankford FC's Douglass Best nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvin Bonds made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Roberto Kirby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonzalo Whittington in the 26th minute. Gonzalo Whittington blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Kirby having to make a save. Gonzalo Whittington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joachim Betts charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joachim Betts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Douglass Best had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvin Bonds didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Demarcus Marcheterre went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Galen Lopez walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Douglass Best to make the kick off. Randell Monrency received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Roberto Kirby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute Gonzalo Whittington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Kirby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglass Best sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvin Bonds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglass Best in the 61st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Whittington cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Roberto Kirby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randell Monrency in the 80th minute of play forced Frankford FC's goalkeeper Roberto Kirby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demarcus Marcheterre came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alvin Bonds could save by the left post. Randell Monrency fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Kirby having to interfere. Roberto Kirby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Whittington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Randell Monrency had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes Merritt FC got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Whittington. Frankford FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
