Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bruce Sanders got the match started through his kick off. When Bruce Sanders came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Beaverdam AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Sanders couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Spivey in the 21st minute of play forced Beaverdam AFC's goalkeeper Stevie Gaudreau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tracey Tilley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herb Ruel, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Tracey Tilley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Sanders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herb Ruel might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tracey Tilley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herb Ruel ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Stevie Gaudreau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl Spivey went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 59th minute Lynn Ouellette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Gaudreau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herb Ruel took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tracey Tilley. Tracey Tilley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Stevie Gaudreau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Spivey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lynn Ouellette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Beaverdam AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lynn Ouellette came free, but Stevie Gaudreau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Ripley's goalkeeper Tracey Tilley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herb Ruel. If Karl Spivey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Ripley got a freekick which was hit by Lynn Ouellette. Lynn Ouellette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Stevie Gaudreau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Spivey in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stevie Gaudreau saved Beaverdam AFC from getting behind.
