After some careless play in the Minnitaki FC defense, Marcus Pina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theodore Nichols. The Minnitaki FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theodore Nichols should have stopped the shot. Rudy Parnell struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Theodore Nichols didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clarkson FC. Theodore Nichols made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Parnell in the 21st minute of play. Theodore Nichols took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Pina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Minnitaki FC's Theodore Nichols played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Parnell in the 24th minute of play. Marcus Pina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Theodore Nichols tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlo Lam helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Minnitaki FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Lam to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Clarkson FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Louis Santiago hit a great ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Carlo Lam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clarkson FC's Nathaniel Langford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute, Rudy Parnell made a precise shot to the right of Theodore Nichols. Minnitaki FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Pina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
