Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Randell Monrency made the kick off which started today's match. Randell Monrency kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Randell Monrency had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Merritt FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Joachim Betts hit a great ball. In the 15th match minute, Ripley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Harrison to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ripley booed when Merritt FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Blackman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Rudy Polk from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Alvin Bonds's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Merritt FC's Randell Monrency in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ripley's goalie prevented a goal. In the 30th minute Randell Monrency shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tracey Tilley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonzalo Whittington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tracey Tilley having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Merritt FC's Randell Monrency nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tracey Tilley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gonzalo Whittington blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tracey Tilley having to make a save. Gonzalo Whittington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randell Monrency recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Spivey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lucio Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alvin Bonds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvin Bonds showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lynn Ouellette, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Ripley's goal looked a bit too open when Randell Monrency came free, but Tracey Tilley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Karl Spivey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvin Bonds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merritt FC's Alvin Bonds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Spivey in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Gonzalo Whittington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvin Bonds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lynn Ouellette in the 78th minute of the match. Cesar Blackman hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Randell Gil sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Merritt FC's Alvin Bonds didn't even have to move. Gonzalo Whittington could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Tracey Tilley made a huge save. Tracey Tilley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randell Monrency in the 87th minute of the match. When Genaro Chang fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ripley's protests and gave Genaro Chang a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Genaro Chang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes Ripley got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Chang. Randell Monrency was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tracey Tilley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randell Monrency in the 95th minute of play. Merritt FC's Alvin Bonds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Spivey in the 97th minute of play. Merritt FC played a much better game than Ripley and deserved their victory. The Ripley players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
