The supporters of Douglastown booed when Myrnam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Howard Laliberté didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Douglastown's Hippolyte Nash nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Papillion Robison made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Warner Baker, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jasper Brennan was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Fred Mackey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Douglastown's zone, Fred Mackey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jasper Brennan came out of the goal and Fred Mackey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jasper Brennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warner Baker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Papillion Robison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglastown. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonzo Pearce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Myrnam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Howard Laliberté to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Brousse was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jasper Brennan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Warner Baker went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Alfonzo Pearce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglastown's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonzo Pearce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Papillion Robison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Douglastown's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
