Reynaldo Webb might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Moss. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Webb ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Meteghan FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valleyfield FC:s goal. Reynaldo Webb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. David Moss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gaston Petrie came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Valleyfield FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Petrie couldn't finish the play. David Moss was a little too slow when Gaston Petrie got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Meteghan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Petrie came free, but David Moss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Webb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Moss having to interfere. Elroy Feldman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Deon Gipson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norman Call fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Gipson having to interfere. If Reynaldo Webb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaston Petrie to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Elroy Feldman made a precise shot to the right of Deon Gipson. Valleyfield FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 64th match minute, Meteghan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Giroux to maneuver through the defense. Deon Gipson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elroy Feldman in the 70th minute. Elroy Feldman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Deon Gipson made a huge save. Colby Driver hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Meteghan FC's Elroy Feldman got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norman Call blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Deon Gipson having to make a save. Valleyfield FC's Deon Gipson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Valleyfield FC from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Valleyfield FC's Gaston Petrie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Moss narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frederick Turner's late challenge caught a Valleyfield FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederick Turner helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Meteghan FC's Frederick Turner got a free kick in the 81st minute. Victor Hillman hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Valleyfield FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elroy Feldman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Len Tracy fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meteghan FC's protests and gave Len Tracy a yellow card for diving instead. Gaston Petrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. David Moss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Reynaldo Webb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Moss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Petrie in the 95th minute of play. Victor Hillman charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Hillman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
