CA River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Donnaconna the free kick. 7 minutes into the game, one of CA River Plate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Donnaconna a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Régis Santana, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CA River Plate's Hollis Braden. 0-1. Wilmer Major sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Edgardo Tompkins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ned Pike was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilmer Major fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ned Pike having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Donnaconna's zone, Wilmer Major stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ned Pike came out of the goal and Wilmer Major tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raphael Weaver hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Wilmer Major sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Davis Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Donnaconna's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel Jacques came free, but Ned Pike reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilmer Major came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ned Pike could save by the left post.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilmer Major to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Lionel Jacques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ned Pike was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 55th match minute, CA River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davis Lara to maneuver through the defense. If Edgardo Tompkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilmer Major sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Leonel Boyles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hollis Braden. Leonel Boyles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 81st minute, Wilmer Major got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Davis Lara notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Donnaconna's Ned Pike. Ned Pike was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Donnaconna's Ned Pike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilmer Major in the 92nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Donnaconna's zone, Lionel Jacques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ned Pike came out of the goal and Lionel Jacques tried to chip the ball over his head.
