Povungnetuk's Marcellin Warren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valéry Lange in the 4th minute of play. Valéry Lange took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcellin Warren. Marcellin Warren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 7th minute, Hervé Sutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Foothills United's goal looked a bit too open when Enoch Christiansen came free, but Jan Sweet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcellin Warren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léandre Hétu in the 14th minute of play. Valéry Lange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Dickens hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léandre Hétu in the 24th minute of play forced Povungnetuk's goalkeeper Marcellin Warren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richie Esparza kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Enoch Christiansen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valéry Lange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcellin Warren having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Lund got free with Jan Sweet in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcellin Warren came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Foothills United's Valéry Lange. But to his dismay, Valéry Lange quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 41st minute, Willie Huot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Léandre Hétu in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcellin Warren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valéry Lange took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcellin Warren. Marcellin Warren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Léandre Hétu made a precise shot to the right of Marcellin Warren. Povungnetuk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valéry Lange in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcellin Warren saved Povungnetuk from getting behind. Marcellin Warren was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Valéry Lange capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valéry Lange really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. In the 68th minute, Bret Steele sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Povungnetuk's Marcellin Warren didn't even have to move. After 71 minutes, Léandre Hétu made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Povungnetuk's Marcellin Warren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Povungnetuk's goalkeeper Marcellin Warren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcellin Warren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valéry Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willie Huot charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willie Huot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Povungnetuk getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Willie Huot hit a great ball. Valéry Lange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saul Lund took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Sweet. Jan Sweet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Léandre Hétu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcellin Warren having to interfere. Marcellin Warren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valéry Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Léandre Hétu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Marcellin Warren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Foothills United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
