The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cody Mayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthieu Beltran in the 5th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Attawapiskat AFC's Matthieu Beltran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cody Mayes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Matthieu Beltran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cody Mayes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th match minute, Tudhope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelly Rushing to maneuver through the defense. Matthieu Beltran kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ferdinand Langlais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tudhope's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinand Langlais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erick Quessy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the game, Tudhope's Stanford Connor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erick Quessy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Matthieu Beltran might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cody Mayes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthieu Beltran ran back to his position shaking his head. Ted Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Cody Mayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cody Mayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Attawapiskat AFC booed when Tudhope was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Esparza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Langlais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Erick Quessy made a huge save. Tudhope's Cody Mayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Lucas in the 37th minute of play. Ferdinand Langlais's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Erick Quessy firmly grabbed it by the left post. Matthieu Beltran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Robbie Kendrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cody Mayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Jake Rhéaume fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Attawapiskat AFC's protests and gave Jake Rhéaume a yellow card for diving instead. Jake Rhéaume kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Attawapiskat AFC's Matthieu Beltran got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ted Lucas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cody Mayes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Ted Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cody Mayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ted Lucas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Cody Mayes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ferdinand Langlais blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erick Quessy having to make a save. If Matthieu Beltran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Tudhope's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ted Lucas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tudhope's Kelly Rushing got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Kelly Rushing off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthieu Beltran in the 77th minute of play forced Tudhope's goalkeeper Cody Mayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Attawapiskat AFC's Ted Lucas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cody Mayes. That made the score 1-3 after 79 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carter Doucet during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matthieu Beltran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Cody Mayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erick Quessy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Langlais, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Robbie Kendrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Tudhope's goal looked a bit too open when Matthieu Beltran came free, but Cody Mayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Attawapiskat AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
