Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Urbain Parish started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Edmonton Soccer Centre's goalkeeper Jackie Desnoyers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cecil Benavides in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jackie Desnoyers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cecil Benavides blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jackie Desnoyers having to make a save. Cecil Benavides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the game, İlkan Karlukhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newbrook AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edmonton Soccer Centre the free kick. After a rather tough play, Newbrook AFC's İlkan Karlukhan got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Gavin Rochon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newbrook AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edmonton Soccer Centre the free kick. In the 18th minute, one of Newbrook AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Newbrook AFC. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Edmonton Soccer Centre. Blaine Early stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Timothy Landers. 0-1. When Valentin Butler fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edmonton Soccer Centre's protests and gave Valentin Butler a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Edmonton Soccer Centre! Cecil Benavides's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Jackie Desnoyers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jackie Desnoyers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cecil Benavides's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecil Benavides in the 37th minute of play forced Edmonton Soccer Centre's goalkeeper Jackie Desnoyers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecil Benavides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Edmonton Soccer Centre's zone, Leandro Ducharme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jackie Desnoyers came out of the goal and Leandro Ducharme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecil Benavides got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-1 in the right cross in the 42nd match minute before Jackie Desnoyers had time to react. Newbrook AFC's Cecil Benavides got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cecil Benavides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cecil Benavides was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Leandro Ducharme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newbrook AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Ducharme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute of the match Newbrook AFC got a corner. Edmonton Soccer Centre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cecil Benavides ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jackie Desnoyers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecil Benavides in the 57th minute of the match. Davis Rowell might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jackie Desnoyers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davis Rowell ran back to his position shaking his head. When Jeremiah Corbett fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edmonton Soccer Centre's protests and gave Jeremiah Corbett a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Edmonton Soccer Centre got a freekick which was hit by Jeremiah Corbett. Jackie Desnoyers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecil Benavides in the 60th minute of play. Edmonton Soccer Centre's Jackie Desnoyers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecil Benavides in the 63rd minute of play. Cecil Benavides struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jackie Desnoyers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newbrook AFC. Newbrook AFC's Dwayne Hawley got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If İlkan Karlukhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes of play, Newbrook AFC's Cecil Benavides made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jackie Desnoyers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cecil Benavides in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Cecil Benavides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jackie Desnoyers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cecil Benavides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Davis Rowell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Edmonton Soccer Centre's goal looked a bit too open when Cecil Benavides came free, but Jackie Desnoyers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jackie Desnoyers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecil Benavides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Ducharme struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jackie Desnoyers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newbrook AFC. There was no doubt that Newbrook AFC were the better team. Newbrook AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
