Lyle Baldwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jackie Desnoyers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lyle Baldwin scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jackie Desnoyers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jackie Desnoyers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graig Dunlap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antoine Potts got free with Leslie Pope in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmonton Soccer Centre's Urbain Parish got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lyle Baldwin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jackie Desnoyers having to make a save. In the 21st minute, Graig Dunlap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Leslie Pope managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Edmonton Soccer Centre's Antoine Potts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jean Polk hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Cary Mendoza struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jackie Desnoyers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coniston. The audience was convinced that Lyle Baldwin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jackie Desnoyers was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, Coniston's goal looked a bit too open when Urbain Parish came free, but Leslie Pope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Graig Dunlap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jackie Desnoyers having to interfere. Lyle Baldwin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Edmonton Soccer Centre's goal looked a bit too open when Graig Dunlap came free, but Jackie Desnoyers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Edmonton Soccer Centre players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coniston were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbain Parish was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbain Parish in the 53rd minute of play forced Coniston's goalkeeper Leslie Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Antoine Potts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leslie Pope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leslie Pope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoine Potts in the 88th minute of the match. Jean Polk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leslie Pope. Coniston's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Coniston were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Edmonton Soccer Centre to leave the ground with a draw.
