With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gene Soucy in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jackie Desnoyers saved Edmonton Soccer Centre from getting behind. If Urbain Parish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gene Soucy in the 20th minute of play forced Edmonton Soccer Centre's goalkeeper Jackie Desnoyers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Edmonton Soccer Centre getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Otto Dube hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Auguste Goguen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jackie Desnoyers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Gene Soucy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edmonton Soccer Centre's Jackie Desnoyers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jackie Desnoyers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gene Soucy's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Bryant Lovett struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jackie Desnoyers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bonavista. Gene Soucy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jackie Desnoyers having to interfere. Edmonton Soccer Centre's Jackie Desnoyers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryant Lovett in the 44th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gene Soucy to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Edmonton Soccer Centre booed when Bonavista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baptiste Burke didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Antoine Potts came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Edmonton Soccer Centre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoine Potts couldn't finish the play. Lauren Rankin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbain Parish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urbain Parish blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lauren Rankin having to make a save. Lauren Rankin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Potts in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Edmonton Soccer Centre booed when Bonavista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Pichette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombe Yost hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Lauren Rankin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbain Parish in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Bonavista's Bryant Lovett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jackie Desnoyers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Darin Morales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bonavista's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edmonton Soccer Centre the free kick. Darin Morales kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jackie Desnoyers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryant Lovett in the 83rd minute. Bonavista's Gene Soucy got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmonton Soccer Centre's Jackie Desnoyers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gene Soucy in the 86th minute of play. Edmonton Soccer Centre were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bonavista for a fine match.
