Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rafael Austin got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, Monkeyville FC's Rafael Austin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lenard Briard. Lenard Briard yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Napoleon Meeks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chet Haines, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Geikie's Bernard Pomerleau got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucien Tessier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lenard Briard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Monkeyville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chet Haines came free, but Napoleon Meeks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Austin in the 24th minute of play forced Geikie's goalkeeper Lenard Briard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Bernard Pomerleau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Meeks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Chet Haines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geikie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chet Haines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Chet Haines had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Napoleon Meeks. Monkeyville FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chet Haines was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Napoleon Meeks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Pomerleau, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Geikie's Lenard Briard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Austin in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Chet Haines left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geikie fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Chet Haines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chet Haines was the one to do the kick off. Chet Haines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Meeks having to interfere. If Rafael Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Geikie's Quintin Gage got a free kick in the 61st minute. Shon Vernon kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Geikie's Bernard Pomerleau managed to work through Monkeyville FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bernard Pomerleau dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Napoleon Meeks was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rod Irwin. Rafael Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Lenard Briard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernard Pomerleau took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Napoleon Meeks. Napoleon Meeks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Rafael Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Napoleon Meeks made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernard Pomerleau in the 88th minute. Napoleon Meeks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chet Haines in the 90th minute of play. Bernard Pomerleau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Napoleon Meeks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chet Haines in the 96th minute of play forced Monkeyville FC's goalkeeper Napoleon Meeks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Geikie supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Geikie would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
