Quentin Blanton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darrin Charpentier got free with Quentin Blanton in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Trey Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Amado Barrette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Faroes's zone, Amado Barrette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hubert Bouchard came out of the goal and Amado Barrette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darrin Charpentier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Quentin Blanton made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Quentin Blanton successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 26 minutes into the match, Matane's goalkeeper Quentin Blanton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brenton Bower. If Darrin Charpentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Faroes's Quentin Blanton threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Prosper Ledford, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Matane's Roch Farrell got a free kick in the 34th minute. Amado Barrette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Bouchard having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Boyer notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Faroes's Hubert Bouchard. Hubert Bouchard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Quentin Blanton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prosper Ledford in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Matane getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Roch Farrell hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prosper Ledford was the one to do the kick off. Quentin Blanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prosper Ledford in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Morgan Duffet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amado Barrette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Bouchard having to interfere. Quentin Blanton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darrin Charpentier went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Quentin Blanton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darrin Charpentier in the 69th minute of the match. Prosper Ledford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Quentin Blanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quentin Blanton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prosper Ledford, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Faroes's Prosper Ledford sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quentin Blanton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hubert Bouchard made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Amado Barrette sent off a good shot on target. Prosper Ledford scored 5-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quentin Blanton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrin Charpentier in the 92nd minute of play forced Matane's goalkeeper Quentin Blanton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prosper Ledford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Quentin Blanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Matane players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Faroes.
