The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 0-1 became the score in the 3rd minute when Augustus Doran elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Arlen McNeal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute Augustus Doran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irwin Desilets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Riverton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram George to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Augustus Doran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irwin Desilets was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Renato Seymour hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Riverton's Irwin Desilets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustus Doran in the 19th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Augustus Doran put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Irwin Desilets. Riverton's Shannon Sabourin suffered a sore thigh after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A nice corner shot did that Dominique Dodd got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Irwin Desilets quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Salvatore Rousseau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Renato Seymour got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Augustus Doran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Irwin Desilets was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Irwin Desilets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Gale, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Irwin Desilets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustus Doran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Arlen McNeal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Irwin Desilets was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renato Seymour to strike the kick off in the second half. Irwin Desilets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrick Thomas in the 53rd minute of the match. Jesus Jenkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 58 minutes, Arlen McNeal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Davidson AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlen McNeal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renato Seymour kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Riverton's goalkeeper Irwin Desilets had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arlen McNeal. Riverton's Irwin Desilets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustus Doran in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Davidson AFC booed when Riverton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Seymour didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augustus Doran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Irwin Desilets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irwin Desilets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustus Doran, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The supporters of Davidson AFC booed when Riverton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brady Carr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlen McNeal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irwin Desilets having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Augustus Doran dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Irwin Desilets, 0-7. Irwin Desilets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustus Doran in the 85th minute of play. Renato Seymour's late challenge caught a Davidson AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renato Seymour helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Riverton's Renato Seymour got a free kick in the 90th minute. A hard shot by Dominique Dodd from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Irwin Desilets's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredrick Thomas got free with Irwin Desilets in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustus Doran in the 95th minute of play forced Riverton's goalkeeper Irwin Desilets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Riverton's goal looked a bit too open when Augustus Doran came free, but Irwin Desilets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Davidson AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
