With his leg Josh Holden managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Plunkett's Ferdinand Moody fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 17 minutes into the match, Inuvik FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tory Adkins came free, but Josh Holden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Onesime Hyatt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barney Howell in the 22nd minute of the match. Plunkett's Onesime Hyatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barney Howell in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ferdinand Moody managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 42nd minute Tory Adkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josh Holden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barney Howell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Craig Browning made a kick off. Ferdinand Moody received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Josh Holden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 58 minutes, Craig Browning managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inuvik FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Craig Browning was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Onesime Hyatt was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Barney Howell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Barney Howell really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 64th minute, Eloi Hines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tory Adkins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josh Holden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Craig Browning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Inuvik FC's zone, Tory Adkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josh Holden came out of the goal and Tory Adkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdinand Moody fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Holden having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Inuvik FC's Eloi Thurman got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Onesime Hyatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Browning in the 97th minute of play. Inuvik FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
