After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Leif Brady managed to get in a good position for a shot. MancityBlues's supporters rose to their feet, but Leif Brady was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarrett Keene breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leif Brady sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jarrett Keene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Granville Haines in the 73rd minute of play. Abraham Goddu charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abraham Goddu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, one of Spondin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Spondin. Carson Cole walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Carrol Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cedric Dubois in the 84th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Spondin's goal looked a bit too open when Lucius Richey came free, but Jarrett Keene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over MancityBlues could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Spondin throughout the match.
