Spectators: 8079 (Terracing: 6061, Seating: 1858, VIP seats: 160) Jere Pruitt made the kick off and thus started the match. Margarito Deniger scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eli Lauzier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th match minute, Special Forces was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugène Becker to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Special Forces's Jerrell Negron got a free kick in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the game Duane Bliss kicked a great long shot which passed Léonard Hackett straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-1. One couldn't see Duane Bliss behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. 24 minutes into the match, Newtown's goalkeeper Léonard Hackett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jere Pruitt. In the 26th minute, Margarito Deniger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28thth minute of the game Jere Pruitt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newtown's Léonard Hackett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Special Forces's Jere Pruitt in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newtown's goalie prevented a goal. Herman Whaley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Léonard Hackett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Johnie Landry. Johnie Landry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Margarito Deniger in the 44th minute of play forced Special Forces's goalkeeper Eli Lauzier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jere Pruitt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Léonard Hackett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Margarito Deniger made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Caron. The supporters of Newtown booed when Special Forces was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustus Rowell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Caron got free with Eli Lauzier in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Tobias Caron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eli Lauzier was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Eugène Becker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léonard Hackett having to interfere. Johnie Landry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Eli Lauzier made a huge save. In the 94th play minute Johnie Landry came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eli Lauzier. 1-3. The Newtown players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
